On Creation

"The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves."~Carl Jung

This quote really sums it up.  Somehow, I am never satisfied the same way I am satisfied when I have just created something new. Today, I worked in copper, on forming a new earring shape I hadn't tried.  To my frustration, I found I am in need of a better vice to hold the mandrels over which the metal is formed.  They take a beating under my hammer, so need to be very clamped in there, which is not the case with my poor little hand-me-down vice.  So, since I have still not completed that bit of the project (nearly the last step,...grrr), I am determined to go vice shopping tomorrow!

I don't understand the necessity to create, but I feel it every day.  Here's a video of a sand drawing.  Aren't they nice (and creative)?
