Come Along With Me For A Spring Picnic

Hello, would you sit and enjoy this spring day with us?  See the Daffodil's first bloom, and the early Crocus?  Look there, some new Rhododendron and Azalea blooms!  Sit and feel the sun at your back, take in the clean air.  Shall we take a little walk through the tall Cedar and Evergreen trees?  It is so nice to sit here and read a book, or draw a picture, to just be here.  The swings call.  The open blue sky invites us to all of the possibilities of a Sunday and perfect spring weather.

No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.  ~Proverb

Gratified Fridays: Spontaneous Moments

Life can be so hectic sometimes you nearly miss it!  I have been working the last few weeks on spontaneity because sometimes that is the only way to fit in those much needed memorable moments.  Some of the recent spontaneous adventures have been a bowling night (!!!), puppy walks, thrift store shopping (we scored an old Sears sewing machine, and a new coffee cup), and going to the library.  It has been those little moments where we were able to seize a mini adventure that have helped me get through this busy time in my life.

What do you do to keep life's ruts at bay?

Pretties

You know life is good when it flies by like you're in a time warp.  I swear that it was Monday just a second ago!

Spring is peeking its head out of its winter slumber and I can't get enough of the outdoors.  Matt and I have been doing our 4 mile trek around the neighborhood and park nearly every day this week, and yesterday the kids came along too!  It is so great to get out and exercise as a family.  Before I know it we will be wearing shorts again and biking and rollerblading (I've missed the nice weather!).

I've been making heart rings like it's going out of style for valentines orders (there are going to be a lot of happy girls getting my pretty little heart ring for a V-day love token).  And man, these orders are keeping me busy!

I'm off to shop for a new chair for my work bench that is the proper height.  That is going to make my day (and my back will be thanking me too).  And then I can kick out some more pretty rings.

This week has been full of getting outside and breathing the fresh air, really smiling and enjoying my family, being here and now, and taking in all of the pretty.

Too Much Beauty

These are just a few beautiful shots I've taken lately....the season is too lovely for words with smiles to match.  :)
