How to Play at the Park When You're Too Big For the Playground

School is out for a few days for conferences and the weather has been gorgeous, so we've been out at the park quite a bit.  Their first visit to our new favorite park and MyGirl and MyBoy quickly realized they were too big for the play equipment (wasn't I just yesterday hoisting them up to reach the monkey bars??).  Now they are the kids still hanging on to their days of smallness, knees to the chest to fit under the bars, ducking their heads as they climb up to the slides, and intimidating the real small kids just by being bigger than they realize...I think our days on the cedar chips are nearly over.  After my moment of nostalgia, I assured them there was no need for playgrounds here...and off we went!

We made grass whistles:

They rolled in the grass:

They played in the water:

It was a beautiful day.
