THE Most Delicious Hors D'oeuvres EVER

Yep, we have a true winner in the appetizer category!  I bring you........Blue Cheese and Fig Crostini!!!  Oh yum.

Make Crostini  >>>>  Cut a pretty baguette in thin diagonal slices (I used a sourdough variety which was so good).  Brush with olive oil.  Bake on 400 degrees for 5 minutes on each side.

Serve With  >>>>>  Spread a dollop of Fig Preserves on the toasted bread and then top it off with some Amish Blue Cheese.

Drink >>>>  Enjoy this delicious snack with some red wine...maybe a local Cabernet, or one of my favorites, a Montepulciano D'abruzzo.

This is the perfect amount of 'fancy' for a romantic night in....which I needed and Matt enjoyed.

Sometimes you have to bring the restaurant to your kitchen.
