Portabellas & Bella

Eating healthy is only fun if it tastes good, and here's a bonus; this meal only takes 5 minutes to make and is less than 200 calories.  What!?!

Another great recipe inspired by Natalia Rose's raw food cookbook-it isn't exactly raw, but totally delicious and healthy.  This is a quick meal when you're craving hearty foods.

Portabellas
Ingredients:

Two large Portabellas, washed and de-stemmed
Raw goat or sheep cheese like Myzithra
Fresh basil, chopped
Organic red sauce like Seeds of Change
Salt & Pepper

Method:

Put water in a skillet (about 1/2" deep) and set the mushroom caps in upsidedown.  Sprinkle them with salt and pepper for flavor.  Simmer for 5 minutes or so until the meat is tender.  Top with warmed red sauce, grated cheese, and fresh basil!  So simple.

Portabella "Pasta"

Bella's First Walk
Our new puppy, Miss Bella is proving to be all sorts of fun.  Her very first "walk" was more of a romp around the block with lots of stopping to chew on sticks and lots of bouncing around.  She is already well on her way to being potty trained, last night she woke me up to go, and (yay!!) no messes in the house.  (Completely worth the 3am wake up call.)  But look at that little face.

Happiness really is a warm puppy.
