On our return, we made it out of our grubby camp gear, and into more respectable clothes for a trip downtown to visit the Judge. We walked into the courthouse, made it through the metal detectors, and twenty minutes later found ourselves hitched! I still haven't tired of calling Matt "Husband", as in "Hi, Husband, How is my Hubby...", and other such silliness. He's not tiring of teasing me for forgetting to say, "I do" and rather saying between giggles, "Yes" after the Judge went over my vows. It was all very fun and relaxed. Afterwards, we discovered an amazing sushi and sake bar where we spent the next while letting everything soak in.
And here I am, happy, married, and just enjoying being a newlywed (it feels different somehow). We couldn't wait any longer to get married, so we jumped the gun and just did it (this is completely our style) but....coming soon....a small intimate vow renewal ceremony that will be a bit more serious and personal.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the words of encouragement! I love your blog. and CONGRATS! That's how my hubby and I got married, too. Not the backpacking and all that fun but we just did it without the ceremony :) I think it's special and amazing just doing it on the spur of a moment like that. Wish you guys the best and I look forward to reading your blog.
By the way i'm jealous of you, I think I read you live where I dream to live one day... OREGON! So beautiful there.
